Day 1: Arrival at Vilnius, with transfer to your hotel accommodation in the 4* Hotel Europa Royale or equivalent 4* hotel.
Welcome meeting.
Day 2: Morning city tour of Vilnius includes the Historical Old Town including the Cathedral and its square, the University campus, Pilies street with the 16 & 18th century historical and architectural monuments, the Gothic corner of Vilnius with St Anne’s and Bernardine churches, the former Town Hall square, the Dawn Gate with its miraculous icon of The Virgin Mary, the 17th century Baroque church of St Peter and Paul.
An afternoon tour to Trakai, the ancient capital of Lithuania located just 28 km from Vilnius. Today the place is famous for its 15th century island castle housing an exhibition of prehistoric artefacts and 17th & 18th century applied art, depicting the way of life of the Lithuanian Grand Dukes, and Karaites, a Judaic sect brought by grand Duke Vytautas from the Crimea.
Day 3: Departure to Riga with en route stops at the Hill of Crosses, a unique place of national pilgrimage, and, just over the border of Latvia, the impressive Baroque Rundale Palace created by the Italian architect B. Rastrelli. Arrival in Riga, the capital of Latvia, is in the late afternoon with accommodation in the 4* Hotel Europa Royale or equivalent 4* hotel.
Day 4: A morning walking tour of the Old Town of Riga features it’s most famous architectural monuments: 13th century St. Peter’s Church, St. George’s Church, St. John’s Church, 14th century Riga Castle, Big and Small Guild houses, medieval dwelling houses “Three Brothers” and the Dome Square with its famous Dome Cathedral boasting one of the biggest organs in Europe.
The afternoon is free to wander or just relax.
Day 5: Drive alongside Riga Bay to Tallinn with an en route stop at Gauja National Park to visit Turaida Castle dating back to the 13th century. Arrival to Estonia’s capital Tallinn in the late afternoon with accommodation at the 4* Hotel Europa or equivalent 4* hotel.
Day 6: A morning city tour of Tallinn takes one to the surroundings of Tallinn and its Old Town. Among other attractions, it includes a visit to Catherine’s Valley Park and Palace, the Song Festival Amphitheatre, the home of the traditional “Old Songs Festival” for the past 120-years. You’ll see Tallinn’s major attractions: Toompea Hill and the Parliament building, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Tall Hermann, Kiek in de Kök and Dome Cathedral. The tour ends in Town Hall Square with a view of the Town Hall, a Gothic masterpiece of the 13th-14th centuries.
The afternoon is free to wander or just relax.
Day 7: Departure transfer to airport.
